Brunswick

There is one step (around 17cm high) at the door plus another small 8cm lip at the door jam. It is a manual door with a large handle that opens inwards. Inside the store, there are wide aisles. The store is quite bright, and there is a small seating area near the change rooms. The change rooms measure 2.37m x 1.21m and have a wide bench for seating.

There is parking available out the front and on both sides of Sydney Road, subject to parking restrictions.

The 19 tram stops out the front and Jewell train station is a 400m walk.

Northcote

The front door is automatic and fully wheelchair/pram accessible. There is seating toward the front of the shop and in the back room near the change rooms. The change rooms measure 1.56m x 1.24m and have a wide stool for seating.

There is parking available out the front on High St as well as behind us on Mitchell St, subject to parking restrictions.

The 86 tram stops out front and Northcote train station is a 500m walk.

Castlemaine

The front door is a split manual door that opens inwards to 140cm wide. There are two 12 cm high steps.

Inside the store, the aisles are wide, and all racks are moveable. The store is light and bright, with plenty of natural light.

The change rooms measure 170cm wide and 130cm deep, and there is a small stool inside each one for seating.

There is on street parking available on Hargreaves and Forest St, and more comprehensive parking available at the IGA carpark across the road.

Can I try on items listed online?

You can! Most items listed on our website are also in-store at our Brunswick or Northcote location. We do not hold online items, however you are welcome to come in anytime to try on the items you fancy. Please check the item listing for location.

What are your postage fees?

Australia: $10 flat rate - free on orders over $150.

New Zealand: $15 flat rate - free on orders over $200.

International: $30 flat rate - free on orders over $300.

Can I collect my order?

Yes! Please select 'Pick-up' at checkout, and confirm which location the item is stored at. We are limited on space so appreciate orders being picked up ASAP.

Can I return an item/s?

We accept returns on full-priced items within 7 days of the customer receiving the item/s. Our Mutual Muse tag must be attached to make a return.

How do you assess the condition of online items?

Our condition rating system for pieces listed online is as folllows:

10/10: Pristine, new with tags.
9/10: Great pre-loved condition with no wear, without tags.
8/10: Very good pre-loved condition, signs of minimal wear.
7/10: Good condition, minor imperfections (i.e. small hole, small mark, pilling, etc.)

Postage & Returns

Our Melbourne stores (Brunswick + Northcote) pop parcels in the post every weekday (except Public Holidays) and send via Australia Post.

Castlemaine orders are shipped Thursday-Sunday and may take up to 4 days to dispatch.

Delivery times vary depending on your location. 

  • Australia: $10 flat rate - free on orders over $150.
  • New Zealand: $15 flat rate - free on orders over $200.
  • International: $30 flat rate - free on orders over $300.

International orders

Mutual Muse uses Australia Post for International deliveries. Please be aware that international shipments may encounter customs delays, which can affect delivery times. These delays are beyond our control. International orders might also incur additional duties, taxes, and fees specific to your country, which are the customer's responsibility to understand and pay.

Shipping costs is a flat rate of $30, with delivery typically taking between 10 to 27 business days from dispatch, depending on the destination.

We declare all items on customs forms as “used / secondhand” and indicate the purchase value excluding shipping costs. We are unable to modify customs declarations or mark items as “gifts.”


Returns

We accept returns on full-priced items if the following conditions are met:

  • The item/s is in the same condition as when purchased.
  • The original Mutual Muse tag is still attached.
  • The return is initiated within 7 days of receiving the item/s.

We do not cover the cost of postage for sending or returning items. Alternatively, you can return the item in-person to our Brunswick, Northcote or Castlemaine stores.

Refunds will be processed in full to your original payment method and may take 3-5 business days to process if you paid with PayPal or a Credit Card.

Sale items are non-refundable.
